The new generation of the Buflex Dry system

More and more automakers are equipping their vehicles with state-of-the-art, scratch-resistant clear coats, while premium automotive paint manufacturers are developing coating systems that are increasingly durable and resistant. These modern clear coats offer better protection and long-lasting performance, but they can also make it more difficult to achieve a flawless finish.

Harder, more scratch-resistant surfaces may require more time and effort during polishing to achieve the desired result.

To meet these ever-changing demands, Kovax introduces the Buflex Dry K4000 , the latest addition to the Buflex Dry line of paint systems.

Why choose the Buflex K-4000? 🟣

The Buflex Dry K4000 was developed to optimize the finishing process when using modern, harder clearcoat systems.

The K4000 offers an additional finishing step designed to create a uniform, ultra-fine crosshatch pattern that is easier to remove during polishing. By further refining the surface before polishing, technicians can reduce the time required for polishing and improve the overall efficiency of the repair process.

The result: a finer surface finish that requires less effort during polishing.

A new addition to the Buflex Dry line 🖇️

With the introduction of the K4000, the Buflex Dry line now offers four finishing options:

K2000 · K2500 · K3000 · K4000

The K3000 remains an effective finishing step for many conventional repair procedures. The K4000 does not replace existing grits. Rather, it offers an additional option for technicians working with modern, scratch-resistant original clear coats, as well as high-quality touch-up systems, where polishing can be more challenging.

This gives professionals greater flexibility in choosing the finishing process best suited to the specific paint system and the repair at hand.

A finer finish. Faster polishing. ✨

Reduced polishing time
The ultra-fine scratch pattern produced by the K4000 is easier to remove during polishing. This reduces the time and effort required to achieve a high-quality surface finish and can improve the efficiency of the entire repair process.

Ultra-fine sanding surface
The K4000 produces an exceptionally uniform sanding surface that has an almost glossy appearance immediately after sanding.

This new sanding stage was specially developed to meetthe requirements of today’s more durable original equipment and high-end clear coat systems used in automotive repair.
